MIDDLE PART HAIRSTYLES
Center parts are making a comeback for fall in a big way. Seen on the runways of Chanel, Valentino, and Balenciaga, among others, this is definitely a trend that’s easy to incorporate into your daily hair routine. But depending on your current cut, each of us may have to approach it a bit differently.
Hair stylist Vanessa Alcala says that if you have bangs “they should be grown to at least the bottom of your eye,” before you split them down the middle. “Use a round brush and blow dry the bangs back from the face so that they have a soft bend at the end.” Additionally, Vanessa suggests applying Oribe gel serum while the bangs are still wet in order for them to hold the bend.
“Keeping hair sleek and straight with the middle part is ideal for cuts that have minimum to no layers. Apply Oribe Soft Lacquer to hair and then follow by using a flatiron to smooth locks out.”
If you like to keep your hair wavy, “a middle part with soft waves looks great on most face shapes, especially square faces and those with pointy features.” Vanessa suggests using a texture spray to keep your waves looking effortlessly chic.
“No matter what your hair style is, keep in mind that the part doesn’t have to be perfect!” Have fun with this look and make it your own.
