Joel developed a passion for beauty and fashion at a young age. He grew up in a small town in central Pennsylvania where he found inspiration by collaging Vogue's and Linda Wells' articles on his bedroom door. His ambition and commitment to perfecting his art brought him to New York, where he trained on French techniques at Frederic Fekkai and perfected his craft under Marie's tutelage.
Drawing inspiration from his frequent travels to Paris, Joel brings to New York an effortless, natural, sunkissed balayage style. All while giving expresso brunettes, vibrant reds, and buttery blondes dimension and depth.
In his more than 15 years of experience in the field, Joel has developed looks for TV and films, and has worked with an array of prominent stars including Anne Hathaway, Kerri Russell, Sienna Miller, Andrew Garfield and Rose Leslie.
He prides himself in his effective style of communication to help build a look for clients that fits their individual lifestyle, personal, and professional goals.
